As part of our SSDB programme and Families for life, the K1 children were focused on instilling care towards the elderly/their grandparents for this year’s SSDB project. They expressed their appreciation with the centre attendants in their centre and made a “Thank you card” for each of them. Children had a get to know session prior to making the “Thank you card” and it allowed the children to recognise their likes/dislikes and get to know our centre attendants. For example, few of the K1 children remembered that of our centre attendants love the colour purple hence they wanted to create a purple “Thank you” card for her! Through this activity, children were able to recognise the role of our centre attendants and expressed their appreciation towards elderly in our centre.
