Pressing on with our journey to promote “Water is Precious, Save Every Drop”, our children reached out to the community to inspire others to save water. They participated in a community event – Tampines GRC Learning festival organised by Tampines East Citizens’ Consultative Committee on 21 May 2017 (Sun). The children reached out to the public to promote the message that water is precious, please save every drop and distributed the water saving habits brochures sponsored by PUB. They also performed a dance “Let’s Save Water” on stage to the public. It is greatly appreciated that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC Ms Cheng Li Hui stopped by our booth and our children had the opportunity to interact with them and shared their knowledge on water saving habits with them. The children had gained a lot of authentic and meaningful experience how they can serve the community and be an active citizen to protect the environment by inspiring the public to save water.
