Stay clean and safe                                              Creating pocket tissue holders

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have to observe cleanliness. Tissue paper comes in handy. Therefore the idea of creating pocket tissue holders came into our minds.

Our last year school graduation banner was kept in the storeroom unused. We decided to put it to good use by creating pocket tissue holders, at the same time recycling it.

Explanation of the SSDB project was delivered to the children. We explained and showed the steps in making the pocket tissue holders. They were reminded to keep a safe distance from one another. In groups of three or four, children cut the banner to the size of the pocket tissue holder.

After children have cut the banner to the size of the pocket tissue holder, they will cut two red tapes about the length of 10cm. They will paste these two red tapes at the two sides of the cut banner as shown above.

After having pasted these two red tapes to the two sides of the cut banner, children will fold their banner to about half its side. Next, children need to cut another two red tapes to paste another two sides of the banner to complete their pocket tissue holders as shown below. Each child also received a packet of pocket tissue to be placed into their pocket tissue holders. They can bring their pocket tissue holder home and use it whenever they or their family members need it.
