K1 and K2 children, together with parent volunteers and the residents at All Saints Home (Tampines) had an enjoyable time with one another.
The event started off with the children teaching the elderly how to play the games that they had made. It was meaningful to see the young and old learning alongside one another.
Children also patiently guided the elderly with painting and kneading dough.
The children then performed two song items and a dance for the residents.
The elderly loved the chicken dance and participated actively together with the children. Look at their moves! :)
Last but not least, children handed out gift packs and their hand-made items to the elderly.
This experience allowed the children to show empathy to the elderly. Indeed, regardless of age, no one can do everything, but everyone can do something to make a difference in the lives of others!
