Children participating in Start Small Dream Big event supports them in learning the values of caring, sharing. developing in them passion and knowledge to contribute to society. This year theme on “A Caring & Inclusive home for all”, we are making plans to visit the St. Luke Eldercare Centre @ Tampines for children to show appreciation to the elderly residents.
In light of COVID19 situation, families were not invited for the launch. However, documentation of the launch and succeeding activities would be posted at Little Lives to reach out to them.
Videos were shown to our children to understand the ways of doing their part to contribute to the neighbourhood community.
Each class discussed with their teachers on how to create their cards. Then, children were in focus to create “Compassion” cards to display their concern for the elderly residents.
Besides their “Compassion” cards, children will carry the messages to their families on preparing “Care” packs for the St. Luke Eldercare.
Children are looking forward to contribute their volunteerism in donating useful items in the “Care” packs to the Centre. Due to COVID19 situation, children could not visit the Eldercare Centre, but they would have ways to send their love and care.
No one can do everything but they can do something.
