Day 1
We started our SSDB journey by having an introduction with the K1 and K2 children on the 16th of July 2020. “A Caring and Inclusive Home for All.” We discussed what caring mean to them? From the children’s perspective caring means sharing, being kind, not selfish and appreciating. Some say caring means giving food, clothes or money.
However, inclusive was a bit difficult to comprehend. The teacher suggested words that are easier for them to understand like being ‘fair’ and treat others the way you want to be treated. In addition, children give examples like wait for your turn, do not cut queue, everyone is a friend , living together
Day 2
The children decided to show appreciation to Mr Tan (Blk Cleaner) who keep our school premises clean, Madam Noorhaya (Cook) who provide our children and teachers delicious food, and Madam Sunarti (Cleaner) who painstakingly keep and maintain the classroom clean, well ventilated and disenfected.
The children decided to make a “Thank You” card for them. In addition, K2 Class Respect A baked ‘Cornflakes Biscuits .
Madam Noorhaya and Madam Sunarti received appreciation card from the children.

The children gave the cookies they baked to Mr Tan.
