The celebration of diversity to enjoy in June is Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The children have created Hari Raya Greeting Card for their teachers and friends to show respect and gratitude to them.
-
This activity is a great way to teach our little ones a way to affectionately greet a person on this day.
-
The Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration was held on Wednesday, 20 June 2018.
-
Our teachers dressed in traditional costumes and made special appearances and had a sharing session with children about the significance of the festive. They have learned sharing, sacrifice and faith after the sharing session.
-
The children were also introduced to ketupat, rendang, lemang, kueh raya and other Malay traditional food.
All children moved to the beat of festive Hari Raya songs in the finale of the celebration. The children were engaged and enjoyed the joy in celebrating the richness of culture and tradition.
Through this celebration, we believe our children have gained more awareness and insights into the meaning and practices of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Celebrating diversity will continue at our centre in the month of July, Racial Harmony Day and August, National Day.
We would like to wish the Malay community, Selamat Hari Raya!
