Embarking to our journey in this year SSDB project “ Keep Out Planet Safe and Clean”, we hope to instill children the importance of hygiene and cleanliness through exploration by using hand on activities. With anticipation, children could apply their prior knowledge on cleanliness to the family and society. In conjunction with our theme, our K1s and K2s children were taught about viruses and germs. They have class discussion on how the viruses and germs came about. They talked through how it impacted the body and some protection ways to maintain cleanliness.
To extend K1s and K2s children’s knowledge, they included in a skit performance, where both levels of children work closely to portray their roles while pertaining to the project’s objectives: the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
Carpe Diem MI Preschool has organised a soft launch in the project of SSDB 2021. It was held via zoom in 23rd April 2021.
In our welcoming speech, we invited our Director of Carpe Diem MI Preschool Mr Moses to present his thoughts on our theme “ Keep Our Planet Save and Clean”. This year our beneficiary is “Ling Kwang Home”. Align with the current pandemic, we hoped that from this project, it would inculcate the importance of cleanliness and hygiene to everyone.
