Our centre launched the Kampong Carnival on 26 April 2019. We received huge participation from parents who attended the SSDB presentation which defines the insights of SSDB.
Our Kindergarten 1 & 2 children sang ‘Yesterday’s Dream’ by Donna Cruz which taught children to stand united as one and work with one another.
Our Kampong carnival launch was a great sucess with support coming from parents. Reliving the ‘Kampong’ spirit teaches the children that they could have fun without the use of technology such as handphones or ipads. The children bought toys from the old days such as cardboard pinball games and played at the ‘Tikam tikam’ booth.
Apart from all the fun and exciting games, the children were taught to value their history and culture from the past and uphold the values of compassion, kindness and care for their friends, family members and people in their community!
