On 12th August 2022, our Nursery Two children worked together to bake cookies with the people from Jamiyah Home for the Aged in a zoom session. They took turns to narrate and to demonstrate the steps.
While the elderly were baking, the children cheered them on by shouting, “Go, Jamiyah Go!” Afterwards, we bidded farewell to the elderlies and thanked them for joining us for the baking session. After baking the cookies, we set up a booth outside our school. We displayed a “Bake Sale” sign board that was made by the children and waited for the parents to come. Children shouted, “Cookies for sale! 1 for $2!” The children received an overwhelming response from the parents as well as the neighbours around the estate. Children were thrilled to see the cookies sold in a flash. All cookies were sold out within an hour! We will be donating by getting essential items for the people in Jamiyah Home for the Aged.
