This was the key message that was brought across during our recent Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Launch @ Enfant last 26th April (Wed).
The Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project is part of the President’s Challenge, initiated by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA). This year, Enfant’s K2 children join over 77,000 children to participate in meaningful projects reaching out to families and the community.
The theme for this year’s SSDB movement is “Many Helping Hands, Caring for Everyone”, embodies the spirit of the Year of Celebrating Social Service Partners and of course, in getting our children to participate in various community projects! It also echoes the President’s Challenge Theme for this year, ‘Caring for our Caregivers’ as it also highlights that caregiving is not only limited to someone who is close to you but could be extended further to people in our community. This aims as a great awareness to our children at the preschool level.
As part of being involved in the community as well as strengthening their bond with the family, the K2s will be partnering Families for Life for this project! Values such as Love, Care and Concern as well as Respect will be highly influencing the activities planned during this 6 month long project.
We have lined up several exciting activities both within the school compound and the school’s vicinity to spread awareness about our topic and the above mentioned values! We started out by acknowledging the presence of services rendered to the school such as our weekly grocery NTUC Fairprice delivery man and the monthly service technician by Mosquito Management System.
Do look out for subsequent posts on our SSDB project as the K2s will be spreading meaningful acts of kindness and appreciation to the community around!
