PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Jurong Spring Blk 528 (DS) is delighted to share the launch of the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) event for the year 2023, under the inspiring theme of “Our Family, Our Community.” On 15 May 2023, we embarked on this incredible journey with the aim of nurturing a sense of love, care, and unity within our children as they explore the richness and diversity of our community.
Through SSDB 2023, we aim to instil in our young dreamers an awareness of the importance of caring for and respecting people from different backgrounds, cultures, and settings. By fostering a deep appreciation for the value of community, we hope to cultivate a generation of compassionate individuals who will shape a brighter and more inclusive future.
Throughout this SSDB project, our school has been abuzz with various activities that have ignited the spirit of care and appreciation within our children. We commenced the launch ceremony with our 2023 SSDB Banner, symbolic ribbon-cutting session and giving out SSDB packages, marking the official start of our SSDB journey.
Among the activities that have taken place, our children eagerly participated in the “Caring for our Community Pledge,” where they wholeheartedly pledged their commitment to respecting and caring for people from all walks of life. Here is a video of our ribbon cutting ceremony!
As we move forward with SSDB 2023, our school has planned an array of activities that will allow our children to explore, learn, and demonstrate care for people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and settings. We aim to create a safe and inclusive space for our young dreamers to develop a profound sense of respect, empathy, and appreciation for the world around them.
As part of the launching ceremony, teachers have also distributed the SSDB packages to our children, containing resources and materials that will guide and inspire them throughout this journey.
As we launch SSDB 2023: Our Family, Our Community, let us embark on this incredible journey together, guided by the values of love, care, and unity. Together, we can ignite the spark of compassion within our children and empower them to make a difference, one small dream at a time.
