Today is our SSDB Launch Party. Children were briefed about our project: Caring for elderly @ Happy Villa before this date. We talked about how we can show care and concern towards the elderly and brainstormed some of the activities we can do together with them throughout the project.
The objective for this project is for children to build relationship and display genuine care towards elderly.
We aim to clock a total of 20 hours contact time through weekly visits to the eldercare home, 10 hours of lessons about elderly during assembly time and a total of 20 hours of fundraising effort for the fundraising event on 5th October.
To start of this project, the children and teachers decided to do a mini carnival with old school games for the elderly for our launch party. With the efforts of the children, teachers and parents support group, and the spontaneity of the elderly from Happy Villa this launch party was a success!
