On 20th April 2021, PCF sparkletots Preschool @ Serangoon Blk 226 kickstarted our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project.
This year our aim is to educate the children and create awareness and develop sense of responsibility and good values.
In relation to the current situation, this project can help the children to know and discover the little things they can do at home, in school and in public places.
This project will also highlight the different ways to be socially responsible and contribute to better personal and public hygiene standards at public dining places and in school.
On the first day, teachers from K1 and K2 started to introduce this years SSDB “Clean Table Campaign”.
Children shared some of the things that they can do to be responsible.
On the second day, K1s and K2s showed their friends how to clean the table, returning utensils, plates, and bowls properly and throwing their rubbish after snack. They also made their pledges.
K1s made some posters to be displayed within the school.
K2s made an origami box to hold food scraps using magazines. This was successfully done with the help of our very supportive parents from K2s by preparing a video on how to make an origami box for the children.
