We held our project finale via ZOOM Meeting last Saturday and were glad to have our teachers, children and parents joining in the finale. We showcased the activities that the teachers had conducted with their class and roped in our parents to aid in the project delivery.
Our Senior Centre Principal, Mrs Tiwari, started the finale with a thank you speech to all the teachers, children and parents for making this year’s SSDB project a success. Teacher Maria, one of the project coordinators, emceed the finale and introduced the programme for the day. Teacher Ian shared the project journey with everyone and the children showed joy in their faces when they saw themselves engaged in activities in class. Teacher Anne led the participants with the signing of a popular nursery rhyme, “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and explained how people with hearing impairement communicated with others. The finale ended with a virtual photo screenshot of all the participants.
With that, we would like to thank everyone who was involved in this project. This project would not be made possible without the hardwork of the teachers, the participation from the children and the support from the parents.
Till next year’s SSDB - No one can do everything but everyone can do something.
