SSDB Finale Project: Virtual Diwali Celebration with Al Muttaqin mosque Kindergarten and Physical Kampong Glam Sparkle Tots PCF Kindergarten.
As part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) initiative, we culminated this meaningful journey with two heartwarming Diwali celebrations that reflected the spirit of community, collaboration, and cultural appreciation. Through this collaboration our K2 children learned the importance of building strong bonds within the community.
Virtual Celebration with Al Muttaqin Mosque Kindergarten
The virtual Diwali celebration brought together our children and the little ones from Al Muttaqin Mosque Kindergarten in a unique online platform. They created a beautiful Diwali card for our kindergarten. Through interactive activities, storytelling sessions, creative art-sharing, henna art, fashion show, Diya art decoration and quiz. The event fostered bonds between different communities. It was a beautiful opportunity for children to embrace diversity, celebrate traditions, and learn about the festival of lights together.
Physical Celebration with Kampong Glam Sparkle Tots PCF Kindergarten
The in-person celebration with Kampong Glam Sparkle Tots PCF Kindergarten created an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. The children enthusiastically participated in various activities, including Diwali card exchanges, creating Rangoli plates, engaging in ice-breaking games, and performing a lively Punjabi dance. The children explored the vibrant traditions of Diwali. Children and teachers joined in the festivities, reinforcing the value of community collaboration and unity.
The collaboration with different kindergartens provided an avenue for the children to build friendship across cultural and social backgrounds. Through their involvement in the planning and execution of the events, the K2 children took an active role in spreading kindness, respect, and positivity within their communities.
These celebrations exemplified the spirit of unity and inclusivity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved. The collaboration not only enriched the children’s understanding of Diwali but also strengthened bonds within the community, reinforcing the importance of collective effort in nurturing a harmonious society.
