On the 21st of July, the K2 children visited Bukit Batok Care Home. The purpose of the visit was to celebrate Racial Harmony Day with the elderlies there as well as to deliver donated essential items to the home care. The essential items were donated by parents in our centre in exchange for the potted plant that the children had made previously.
As part of the Racial Harmony Day celebration, the children put up a singing and dance performance of Chan Mali Chan, My Friends, Munnaeru Vaalibaa and Burung Kakak Tua. Besides that, they also played traditional games such as congkak, five stones and pick up sticks with the elderlies there. The children also created a Chinese artwork of painting plum blossom tree together with the elderlies. The happy faces from the children as well as the elderlies explains how much both enjoyed the visit!
