On the 2nd August, we had our National Day Celebration with all the parents of the children in our centre from PG class all the way to K2.
During this event, we collaborated with St Luke’s for our SSDB Finale. We invited the elderly over to join us in the celebration where we would perform for and with them.
Our children from the centre had their individual performances which ended of with a performance by the K2 classes. We invited the elderly up on stage to sit in between the children before singing and dancing to “You Are My Sunshine” with them as the children did a simple dance with the song.
After the performance, the children presented an artwork that they made as a token of appreciation to the elderly from St Luke’s.
The elderly was invited back to their seats after the performance as they waited for their dinner to be served.
