On 15 September 2018, we had our Start Small Dream Big Project 2018 entitled: Love Food, Stop Wastage in conjunction with our centre’s opening ceremony. We planned the event and invitations were sent out.
We had the privilege of our guest of honor, Mr Seah Kian Peng, MP for Marine Parade GRC, that he could grace us with his presence on this joyful occasion. He gave a wonderful speech on how children’s learning journey can make an impact on their lives.
We had a partner working alongside with us for this project, we have reached out to The Food Bank Singapore, whom will collect donated food items and then allocate to the Needy via channels such as VWOs, charities and soup kitchens. NTUC even graciously sponsored us for this event to The Food Bank Singapore with cash vouchers. The children’s parents on their part, were very generous in their donation. Look at that wide spread of donated food items. A big shout-out to our ever magnanimous parents!
We presented Mr Seah with a gift of appreciation made by the K2s. All our other guests as well received a goodie bag each containing an art craft prepared by the N2s, K1s and K2s.
Our PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Braddell Heights Blk 246 was officially launched by the unveiling of the plaque by Mr Seah.
The event ended with parents and guests applauding children’s efforts.
