Our centre decided to embark on a fundraising bazaar to help the children at the Children’s Cancer Society.
We started off by getting the children to contribute in their creativity by making crafts that can sell during the carnival.
This year, the K1 and K2 children at Carpe Diem Hilltop were involved in the President Challenge 2017. However, our N2 children were also eager to contribute their share in this project.
The children were all very excited and enthusiastic about the whole event. They were very proud of their creations and they all looked forward to the Carnival which was held on 8th August 2017. Besides selling the crafts made by the children, food and drinks were also put up for sale on that day, including game stalls.
The 91 K1 and K2 children were the ones manning the stalls, with teachers as the facilitators. The response was overwhelming and we had great support from our parents.
At the end of the Carnival, we were proud to make a profit of $3200 and all proceeds will go to Children’s Cancer Society.
We sincerely thank each and everyone who had put in their effort to make this Carnival a successful one and we definitely look forward to contributing more to the society in the year to come.
