As part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) initiative, K1 children had the wonderful opportunity to visit the elderly at FaithActs. This visit was a culmination of weeks of thoughtful planning and preparation, with the children presenting farewell and appreciation gifts to their elderly friends.
The highlight of the day was the presentation of their heartfelt performances, where the children showcased specially choreographed dances. Their lively movements and joyful expressions brought smiles to the faces of the elderly, creating a moment of shared happiness.
Following the performances, the children introduced the DIY games they had thoughtfully created in collaboration with the elderly during previous visits. These games, designed with simplicity and creativity, were intended to foster fun and interaction between both the young and the elderly. It was heartening to see the two generations engaging together, playing and enjoying the games in a spirit of togetherness. Laughter and cheers filled the room, as both children and elderly shared meaningful moments of joy and appreciation.
This visit not only allowed the children to express their gratitude but also reinforced the values of care, respect, and empathy. It was a touching farewell, as the children and elderly exchanged warm smiles and fond memories, marking the end of this meaningful journey but leaving behind lasting bonds of friendship and appreciation.
Through this SSDB initiative, our children have learned the importance of giving back to the community, and we are immensely proud of their efforts in spreading kindness and joy to those around them.
