Kindergarten 1 children participated in a Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) activity where they teamed up with elderly residents to create personalized stationery holders. Using recycled materials like cardboard, toilet paper rolls, and other discarded items, the children and elderly worked together to assemble and decorate the holders. The children excitedly chose from a variety of embellishments, including stickers, decorative tapes, buttons, glitter, and sequins, to bring their creations to life. This hands-on activity not only allowed the children to express their creativity but also provided a valuable opportunity for them to connect with the elderly, fostering a sense of empathy and community. The joy and satisfaction on the faces of both the children and the elderly highlighted the success of this meaningful project.
