In the month of June, our N2 children focused on learning about the importance of recycling and how it helps to protect the earth.
In conjunction to teaching the N2 children about recycling, we encouraged parents and students to collect as many recyclables as possible. Students showed their enthusiasm by collecting many different types of recyclables.
The children learnt that they can classify the items into four different categories which are; metal, plastic, paper and glass.
The children had a fun time identiying each item and which category each item belongs to. They were encouraged to place them accordingly to the different bins provided to them. Children were encouraged to discuss what they can make with all these recyclables and all of them mentioned that they can make toys to play with.
We also discussed that we can make many differnt things such as stationary holders, board games and decorative items with all these items. They were all very eager to see what different things they could create. 😁
