We start off our SSDB 2023 journey with our continuous collaboration with All Saints Home (Hougang).
Children from all levels get to have a close up interaction with the elders from the home from making pineapple tart for Hari Raya to designing our National flag during National Day celebration and finally making mooncake jelly on Mid-Autumn festival. We took opportunities of the nation festivals to bring cheer and laughter to our elders.
As the saying for this year’s theme goes “Many Helping Hands, Caring for Everyone”, we decided to collaborate with another community partner - National Arts Council (NAC) to teach our children cultural artworks where their creative works we put on display for parents to trade in with food donations which the proceeds then go to our beneficiariy - All Saints Home (Hougang).
It was such a colorful journey for the children as they get to learn new things at the same time give back to community.
