On 25th of May, we embarked on our SSDB 2023 journey with the theme, “Many Helping Hands, Caring for Everyone”. We were delighted to introduce this project to our children and parents. In this journey, we hope that children will explore many ways to help take care of our environment.
Our K1 children worked together in making the SSDB launch banner, while our K2 children showed their appreciation on our ‘earth’ by creating beautiful posters on how we can take care of our home. In the process, children were able to share their thoughts on why we need to work hand in hand to take care of our environment. They brainstormed various ways to protect our environment so that we can have a greener and healthier home.
For upcoming planning, children from playgroup to K2 will be involved in more fun yet meaningful activities such as planting, recycling, and water conservation activities!
Moving forward in this journey, we also hope to teach our children to respect and show empathy for our elderly. Children will learn about the contributions that our elderly have made to our community and are encouraged to show gratitude to them. As part of our sub-theme, “Giving Back to Our Community”, we will be working with our beneficial “Ling Kwang Home” for our forthcoming fundraising activity wherein both our children and parents will be involved.
