This week, the preschoolers embarked on their SSDB project for the year 2022. They wanted to show their appreciation to frontliners namely, firefighters and police officers.
They started the project by learning about the workscope of firefighters and police officers. They read books and watched informative videos about what these frontliners do.
The older children learnt about Fire Safety Enforcement. They went around the school building looking for fire extinguishers, exit lights and fire alarms.
Some of them spent their weekend with their families going on a visit to Tampines Fire Station. During this guided tour, they watched a demo by a firefighter donning the full protective gear within a minute!
They were introduced to emergency vehicles and their capabilities. The children were thrilled to see the Red Rhino and the fire bike! They also had a look inside the HazMat Mitigation Vehicle (HMV).
Go attend Fire Station Open House this weekend with your families! Visit their website for more details.
