PROJECT 2: Loving the Plants – a) Fertilizing the plants
Here are our Project 2a activities in June 2022 !
To inspire the children to care for our environment, we had a lesson on the usefulness and important of trees and plants with them. In this project, we aimed to nurture the children to love their environment by taking care of plants. Plants needs water, sunlight, and food, which is fertilizer. Lavender Meadows parents with their children collected banana skins and cut them to small pieces, they also washed and clashed eggs shells into very small pieces. Children brought all these wastes to school. We had a session of making fertilizer and stored them for a while.
Children used this man-made fertilizer to provide food for our garden plants. Some parents joined in the learning journey with their children. This learning journey was a great one !
To enhance this learning, coming up our final Project 2b is “Loving the Garden”
