Khalsa kindergarten embarked on SSDB 2022 journey with the theme’ Our Family, Our Community’. We launched our project on 23rd May, 2022. This year we focus on nurturing our young children by connecting families and societies. We want to instill the family bonding and values into our little learners. We strongly believe this will strengthen the 4 important family values - love, care, commitment & respect.
We kick start our SSDB journey with the ‘Rangoli project’ conducted by the Mdm Vijaya Mohan. She is an community volunteer who works closely with National Heritage Board. We partnered with families and community stakeholders aiming to make this project more meaningful for children.
Around 100 parents and children virtually connected with Mdm Vijaya via zoom platform.
We were amazed to see the parents-child bonding during the Rangoli art workshop. Our supportive parents accompanied their child throughout the virtual project. This made a huge impact on children’s learning. Mdm Vijaya made the art workshop interesting and engaging to the children and parents.
Children showed their appreciation to their parents by making Mother’s Day cards and drew family pictures.
Our Principal Mdm Santi Devi wanted to encourage children’s effort in participating the ‘Family value’ building activities. She gave out the certificate to the children during our SSDB launch party.
Family values play a significant role in child’s overall development. It influences their behaviour, character and attitude. We want our children to appreciate their families and community. We as an educator build a bridge to connect all the stakeholders aiming to create a positive impact on children’s learning and development.
Stay tune and look forward for more interesting sharing in our upcoming SSDB journey !!
