In conjunction with Nurses’ Day on 1st August 2022, we had a ZOOM Session with a parent-nurse where she talked about her day-to-day routines and experience at work. Children were involved in simple questions and answers and created art works for neighbourhood health care personnel that they know of. We had parents involved in this month’s project as they bring their children to present the craft they made for Nurses and healthcare personnel in their neighbourhood.
The smiles on the healthcare personnel’s faces brought smiles to ours as well and we could not have been happier to the little gestures and crafts that our children has prepared for them.
Through this activity, we taught the children on how to show appreciation towards not only to our nurses, but also the healthcare personnel in their neighbourhood. They gained knowledge and insights on the nurse’s job scope and their routine.
It was a fruitful session as this help the children to understand a nurse’s role is as important as a doctor’s when they are in the healthcare section.
