Our K2 children embarked on the SSDB 20222 project with the theme of ‘Radiating Love for All’.
They collaborated with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) to work with the elderly. The aim of the project was to help children build a relationship with the elderly that is of a different generation. The children had the opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the daily lives of the elderly and difficulties they face.
Children held the launch of the project. They created dandelion petals with words of well wishes for the elderly and their future dreams. They took part in decorating the backdrop for the launching of the project.
The children had a virtual zoom meeting with the elderly. They performed dance performances that they had prepared for the elderly. Elderly showed great enjoyment and danced along with the children. Children shared some well wishes at the end of the meeting.
The children and parents were involved in providing donations for the elderly care. The parents were generous in donating the different types of food items for the elderly. Children helped to sort and load the food items into the elderly care van.
