On 23rd April 2021, our school launched the “Start Small, Dream Big” project. The theme for this year is “Empowering Lives, Uplifting Communities”. We will be embarking on a journey to create awareness as well as showing love, respect, care for people at home and in the community. For the launch party, children from Nursery, K1 and K2 came together to celebrate. The aim for this project is to let children understand that “I cannot help everyone, but I can help those around me”, starting from small deeds that they can do for others. Children got to share with their friends some good deeds that they do in school and how they have help others in the community or at home. They watched a short video on how to care for others in the community. A short skit was performed by the K2 children where they got to act out how to do good deeds for others in a public bus. Children got to make a thank you card in a heart shape and some honey baked cornflakes to be given to their friends. This helps them to learn how to spread love to others.
