On the 22th April 2021, our school launched the “start small, dream big” project together with parents as well as an elder care centre (Sparkle Care @ Yewtee).
The theme for this year is “Stay Connected, Make a Difference”. Hence, we will be embarking on a journey to strengten relations between children and the community as well as showing love and care to elders at home and in the community.
Before the Launch, the children worked in their respective classes together with their teachers to come up with a little something to show appreaciation and also care towards their elders at home or the elders in the community.
During the Launch Party, Children joined in the virtual Launch from their respective classrooms. They were engaged in viewing the videos made by the children of different levels.
Children and the eldercare seniors participated in following the simple seated exercise led by the K1s.
The K2 children also got the opportunity to interact with the seniors at the eldercare centre by having a short conversation with them through Zoom.
That is how we kickstart our SSDB 2021 Project. Stay tuned to our Little Stories to see what other activities our children will be doing to show care to their loved ones and the community :) !
