For the year of 2021, Sunflower Preschool @ NSE would like to emphasise on reinforcing children’s sense of sympathy and love for their community and the society.
Our learning journey “Healthy me, Healthy We, Healthy Community” aims to build intra-personal relationships that allow children to be thankful for the community helpers around them. The learning journey was launched on 22nd April 2021 with a photography session whereby the K2 children were dressed up as community helpers.
Prior to this launch, the children made two “Thank you” cards for the community helpers around our school. One of the cards was made for Raffles Medical Group. The children showed their gratefulness to the medical group for providing Covid-19 vaccinations to the public at Nee Soon East Community Club.
The other card was made for the People’s Association @ Nee Soon East Community Club as they have been constantly providing services to the residents during the Covid-19 pandemic.
With this head start, children will better understand more about the people that make our community, and why we should be thankful for them every day.
