The children learn about the importance of caring for the environment. They are taught how to either properly dispose of their belongings in an eco-friendly manner, or recycle them for use to prevent wastage.
The children worked with their parents on a take-home project to convert used shopping bags into useful teaching aids for the Dramatic Learning Center - aprons, scarves, pencil cases, bags, apparel.
The K2 children, on the other hand, used discarded carton boxes, toilet rolls and various household products to create Numeracy Learning aids for their daily activities. Counting, sorting and matching games were very much a highlight of their day!
N2 children shared what they have done for their Construction Learning Center - they made mini buildings using recycled materials like plastic bags, straws, thread, Vitagen bottles and newspapers.
We are delighted to see the children actively engaging in a meaning project like this. The teachers also play a huge part in educating and guiding the children along this journey. May the children grow up to be eco-warriors and good stewards of the environment they live in. A big thank you to all parents, teachers and children!
