Our school at PCF Sparkletots Admiralty at 571B was able to conduct a Food Donation Drive. The objectives of this year’s Start Small Dream Big Project 2018 are to:

spread the word on the importanceof food resource planning

look at ways to reduce food wastage

show kindness by sharing the collected goods to the needy families in the community
This project is tied up with Fei Yue Family Service Centre as they provide us with the list of needy families.
On 13th July, K1 children helped out in sorting all the collected goods from parents and teachers. Our parent volunteers were able to show their support by coming down to our centre and helped in sorting and packing too.
The centre was able to packed atleast 22 bags of collected goods. All are ready to be given out to the needy families.
The highlight of this project was done last 26 August. We asked volunteers of K2 children and parents to come down and helped us in the distribution of goods.
Needy individuals/ families need to register first.
The activity for this day is not about the Food Donation Drive only. Our children prepared something special and memorable. A handprint of the children and guests have been displayed in our Kindness Tree.
Food were being served to everyone as well. Children helped out in serving simple snacks and drinks for all.
Everyone has shown kindness and care to all our needy individual in the community. We all can see the children’s happy faces while giving their simple token of kindness. And so much appreciation from those who received the blessings.
