Our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Projects was officially launched on 18th April 2019 at COMNET Senior Service Centre, Ang Mo Kio. The purpose of this project is to nurture our young children to be kind and care about the people around them through music and prepare them for life-long learning.
The children painted the recycled plastic bottles. They mixed the glitters and glue together. Then, they chose their favourite colours and painted it on the recycled plastic bottles meticulously.
At COMNET Senior Service Centre, the children distributed the recycled plastic bottles to the elders. The children worked together with the elders to put the green beans into the bottles with parents’ assistance. They had the opportunit to communicate with the children and they felt happy.
After the children and the elders made the shakers, the children performed their created song called ‘LOVE’ and their teacher played the keyboard. Some elders shook the shakers while the children sang the songs. Then, the elders were invited to sing three songs titled ‘Burung Kakak Tua’ , ‘月亮代表我的心’ and ‘甜蜜蜜’. They sang the song happily.
Finally, it came to an end of the activity. The elders, teachers, children and parents officially launched the SSDB together by saying “No One Can Do Everything, But Everyone Can Do Something ! Start…Small…Dream…Big !”
