On 26th April 2019, Al-Muttaqin Mosque Kindergarten kickstarted our SSDB Project titled ‘Spreading Happiness’ at the launching party, where we unboxed our SSDB Resource Kit.
Prior to the launch, children were introduced to our project through discussions about ways we can spread happiness to the elderly. We came up with 4 core values – kind, respect, listen and empathy. These values were incorporated into our own song, which the children had much fun singing and dancing to.
They were excited to open the box and put on their little orange bucket hats to perform the song. After that, children came together to brainstorm the various ways they could show appreciation to the elderly and spread the happiness. They wrote down their pledges, showing much enthusiasm in the activity and in embarking on our upcoming ones.
