In preparation for Terrarium Sale, the K1 children did their own figurine to decorate their terrarium using clay. They were to choose their own design and did their own figurine with minimal help from teacher.
Once they are done with the figurine, they make their own terrarium with the materials provided. They also used recycled water bottle base as the pot of the terrarium. They beautify their terrarium with the small figurine they had made.
On the 30th August, we had our ‘Terrarium Charity Sale’ in school. Children were encouraged to sell their terrarium to parents from all levels. This is also to promote their mathematical skill as they were encouraged to add and give the cash balance to parents.
We managed to sell ALL the terrarium within 1 hour! The money collected will be given to chosen charity, ‘Garden City Fund’ from NParks. Well done K1s! 😊
