Covid-19 may have caused disruptions to our everyday lives and upset our planning, we can still show our care and love to people closest to us and those in the community in little ways that we do.
On 19 June, we created simple care packs for our daddies as part of the Father’s Day celebration. We wrote little notes to our daddies to express our appreciation to them for showering us with care and love. We surprised our daddies with the gift when they came to fetch us or when they returned home after work.
On 7 August, we celebrated National Day in school. We sang National Anthem and recite the pledge as one via Zoom to wish Singapore a very happy 55th birthday. And in support of the ‘Share the Care’ President’s Challenge, we made an agar agar Singapore flag using the kit bought.
We ended our 2020 SSDB journey by packing 55 care packs for the underprivileged families in our community with the items generously contributed by our daddies and mummies. We donated these care packs to THK Family Service Centre (FSC) who then helped to give these packs to families under their care.
