“We must care for the elderly.” - N2 Children
In conjunction with the theme, ‘ Care for the Elders’, children gathered to talk and share their understanding of what they can do to help the elderly. They shared their responses among the teachers and friends, and pen it down on a mind map to look upon in future.
Children were also brought into a pretend play of ways to help the elderly. A pair from the class volunteered to be the role of a grandparent.
Children then engaged in the play and while at it, demonstrated how they can always offer help for the elderly, which closest to them to relate, are their own grandparent.
At the end of this play, children wrap up the session by sharing their understanding from what they see and did from the play.
