Since April, our K2 children have been working hard on their SSDB Zero-Waste Edible Garden project. They have been involved in planting, re-potting and making continuous observations of plants in the nursery as well as the rooftop garden. We worked through trial and error with our planting and kept looking up for more information through online resources too. We stayed connected with our community partner, NParks who guided us through this process as well. We gathered useful tips and gained more insights into our planting processes.
We were very excited when we began harvesting our spring onions, turmeric and spinach. The children were also thrilled when they got to share their harvests with their families. Thank you to the families, for your continuous effort and support in preparing a healthy recipe with our harvests. Do look out for our monthly documentation updates on our SSDB Wall at level 3 lobby!
Stay tuned for the next part of our project!
