The K1 and K2 children of SGM Murni went on a trip to East Coast Park as volunteers to pick up trash at the beach. Prior to the trip, they learnt that trash on the beach could lead to ocean pollution and it is harmful for ocean animals. Trash that does not belong in animal habitats could lead to endangering of wildlife and natural environments. By helping to pick up trash in the environment, the children are advocating for environmental and wildlife preservation. Hence, being involved in a beach cleanup is a great opportunity for the children to display empathy towards the environment and wildlife. They were enthusiastic supporters of their mission to clean up the beach. They eagerly combed the beach for any signs of trash and were proud of their hard work after they had accomplished their mission. Well done children! They pledged to spread awareness about wildlife conservation by sharing what they have learnt to their friends and family.
