This year, as part of the SSDB project, Spring Brainy Kidz Bukit Batok (SBKBB) launched the celebration in conjunction with Earth Day. This year our theme, caring for our community through recycling, gave us many opportunities for the children to learn that everyone can contribute to society, no matter how big or small we are. Parents from all levels were supportive of the cause as they provided the school with recyclables. In addition, to raise awareness on recycling, the parents came in green.
Children were amazed that they could reuse old magazines, newspapers and plastic to create something beautiful through a fashion show.

A recycling centre was also set up in school for children to access the material for their craft work. Using recycled material in creating these art and craft helps children to instill creativity and problem solving skills.
