This August, our N2 children have embarked on their first ever SSDB project. As we have been touching on the topic of Pollution a lot lately, children suggested heading to the beach and picking up litters to clean the environment and save the sea animals. However, due to COVID-19, their idea was rejected. They managed to come to an agreement on picking up the litters around the school’s neighbourhood, as some recalled seeing a lot of litters on the ground, especially near the bus stop.
For the first part of their SSDB project, children were divided into small groups and they headed out to pick up litters for 30 minutes. After picking up litters, children returned to school and shared their experiences.
Some were angry at the litter bugs while some expressed gratitude towards the janitors in Singapore who play crucial roles in keeping the environment clean.
Thank you to these little heroes who were cleaning the environment! This has also taught them not to throw the litters on the ground.
Stay tune for part 2, where children showcase their creativity skills in their SSDB project!
