As part of the Start Small Dream Big project and the explorer programme, the school has organised a beach clean up for the Kindergarten 1 and 2 children. Their parents were also encouraged to participate in the event. We received great responses to the event.
Before the event, children and parents were briefed on the safety rules and the area that they would be working on. Through this event, the children were able to reinforce what they learnt in school - the importance of keeping the environment clean and marine conservation. The children show ability to differentiate between rubbish and things that belong to the beach. They learnt that together as a team, they can do much more for the environment. Overall, they had a great time with their peers and parents. We are encouraged to plan more events like that in future as we have received positive feedback on this event.
