“Endangered means they in danger already!”
Our K2 children explored about endangered animals as they gained more knowledge on the dangerous situations these animals faced in their natural environment. Our children aimed to promote the importance of protecting them from harm!
“It’s so sad to see them getting killed like that…”
Our K2 children learnt more about endangered animals when they watched educational videos on how each of them became an endangered species. Our children displayed empathy as they discussed about the feelings of these animals when getting captured or killed by others.
“I want to be the porpoise getting trapped inside the fishing nets, is it nobody will come and save them?”
After watching the educational videos about endangered animals, our K2 children re-enacted some scenarios shown in the videos (such as tigers being hunted by poachers and pandas losing their natural habitats). Our children were able to sympathise with these animals’ feelings and expressed their wills to protect them from any potential danger.
“We need to tell people to help us protect the animals also!”
Our K2 children then volunteered to design posters with simple slogans to advocate the public on the importance of protecting endangered animals and helping them to stay within their natural habitats.
