We are grateful to be given the opportunity to collaborate with ‘The Little Green Dots’ to implement the practice of recycling used beverage cartons which the children drank from during their snack time.
We attended a virtual sharing about Tetra Paks conducted by ITE students. We learnt about the responsible forestry certified by the Forest Stewardship Council in manufacturing these Tetra Paks. We also found out what happens in the process of recycling these Tetra Paks, or used beverage cartons.
Through the sharing, we discovered the various innovative ways to upcycle the used beverage cartons. Not only did we create a bookmark together with our families at home, we also made a coin purse out of the used beverage carton as a gift for our mothers on Mothers’ Day. A lovely yet environmentally-friendly gift! The children were amazed and pleased with their crafty final product.
