We kick started our Start Small Dream Big project back in April on Earth Day, 22nd April 2021. On this day, we talked about the importance of recycling, reducing and reusing waste. A little goes a long way in helping and saving our Mother Earth.
As part of our home-school partnership, parents and children make creative headgear using recycled materials. The children came to school with their head gears and did a show and tell about the recycled materials they used in their creations.
We explored other ways we can reuse or recycle other materials such as milk jugs, mason jars and egg cartons. During the discussion, some of the children mentioned about growing plants in these recycled materials. We then embarked on our on little experiment in our garden! We took seeds from our existing plants such as blue pea to plant in the recycled milk jugs.
