This year for SSDB, our centre partners with Econ Medicare Centre @ Braddell as we would like to impart the values of compassion, love, care and respect in young children.
Tied in with the theme “Multicultural Singapore”, we invited seniors to share with children about traditional games they played during childhood. Children then created those games for the seniors using recycled materials. These games were then sent over to Econ Medicare Centre @ Braddell for the seniors to play with. It was such a lovely sight to see the seniors enjoy the games that the children created.
On 23rd July 2021, we had a short live engagement session with the senior care director, AIC programme-in-charge and the seniors. Pre-recorded performances of children were played for the seniors to watch during the event. It was followed by a short live engagement session between the school and Econ Medicare Centre. The event ended with video recording of ”Singapura, oh, Singapura” together!
It was a memorable event as we celebrated the success of a Multicultural country with the involvement of seniors and children.
