MOE Kindergarten @ Fernvale brought the children to River Wonders to promote environmental awareness in them.
The children learnt about the different types of animals living in and around the rivers.
As part of their learning, teachers used the information found in River Wonders to show the impact human actions have on the environment and animals living in it.
Children also discussed on ways they could help to save the animals and care for the environment. So during the learning journey, the children looked out for positive examples River Wonders has taken to go green.
For instance, we noticed there were recycling bins to encourage people to recycle cans, bottles and papers instead of throwing them into the trash bin.
There were also water coolers to encourage people to bring their own water bottles and fill them up instead of buying disposable bottles or cups.
